Hunter Safety Certification Course

 

A Hunter Safety Certification Course is offered each spring and fall at the Pulaski County Cooperative Extension Office.  Classes will run from 6:00p.m.-9:30p.m.on the first two nights, and from 8:30a.m.-12:30p.m.on Saturday at the Somerset Police Departments shooting range for required range instruction and course test.  Kentucky law requires that any person born after January 1, 1975 carry, while hunting, a valid hunter safety course completion card.  Exceptions to this law include children under 10 who are accompanied by an adult, or persons exempt from purchasing a hunting license.  There is no fee for attending this certification course. Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
